Citation
On 20 September 1965, Havildar Kedar Singh was commanding a detachment of an anti-tank platoon which was attacked by enemy tanks and infantry in the Sialkot Sector. Havildar Singh's detachment was left with only one recoilless gun and the vehicle on which it was mounted had been immobilized by enemy fire. He dismounted the gun and under intense enemy fire moved it to a flank from where he destroyed two enemy tanks, forcing the enemy to withdraw from the area.
