Vir Chakra (VrC)

During the operations against Pakistan, Flight Lieutenant Chandra Sekhar Doraiswamy took part in 14 operational strike missions against the enemy ground positions. Twice his aircraft was hit by enemy ground fire and damaged severely. Instead of returning to base, Flight Lieutenant Doraiswamy continued on each occasion to press home his attacks in complete disregard of his personal safety and inflicted considerable damage on enemy armour and troop concentrations.

Throughout the operations Flight Lieutenant Doraiswamy displayed courage, determination and professional skill of a high order.
